There is no limit on the number of fiction books that may be taken at one time.
If an item is out on loan to another patron, you may request to be placed on a reserve list for that item.

The Library purchases most titles on the New York Times best-seller list.
A book and media deposit box is located outside the front entrance to the Library, for returning books when the Library is closed. There is a separate slot in the deposit box for DVDs and CDs.
If the Library does not have the book that you are looking for, we can, in most cases,
find another library that does and have it sent to our Library for you to borrow.
PAC – Public Access Catalog
The Library’s card catalog is available in computer/electronic format
as well as standard format. Our computer catalog allows access to local, regional, statewide,
and out-of-state databases, as well as electronic magazine indexes.

Computers for Use
The Library has three computers available for public use, which have Internet
access and Microsoft Office 2013 which feature Word, Excel and Power Point.
Print-outs are available for $.10 per page. The Ansonia Library does not have a color printer at this time.
Patrons may fax information to other locations for a charge of $1.00 per page.
For International Faxes, the charge is $4.00 for the first page and $2.00
for each additional page. There is no charge to receive a fax.
This service is provided by the Librarian on duty.
A copy machine is available for the public to use.
The fee for copying is $.10 per page.
Audio Books-on-CD are available for a three week period and are renewable.
DVDs are available for patrons to borrow. These circulate for seven days, with a limit of four per Library Card. Please note, these items cannot be renewed.
The Ansonia Library has a wide variety of music CDs, which include
Country, Jazz, R&B, Rock, and more. CDs circulate for three weeks, and patrons are permitted to check out six at a time.
Community Meeting Room
The Jean Whalen Room is available for use by local nonprofit groups free of charge.
To reserve the room, please call the Library Director.
The Ansonia Library has passes to Peabody Museum, Discovery Museum, Mystic Aquarium, Beardsley Zoo, Wadsworth Antheneum, Old State House, and CT State Parks and Forests (part of No Child Left Inside) available for patrons to use. Patrons must leave a $10.00 deposit and their valid Library Card, and permitted to check out one pass at a time.
Spanish Language Books
The Library has a collection of Spanish-language books available for circulation.
The Ansonia Library has Wi-Fi access available for use. One would need their
library card to log-in.
